Amazon Home Finds You'll Swear Are Designer-Made

Our love of home decor and furniture really knows no bounds. We adore perusing Pinterest and websites, drooling over the perfectly-staged living rooms and impeccable kitchens. And although we fully appreciate a solid investment piece, it can be a challenge to find the willingness to spend a chunk of change on something that might not hold up around kids. Or, buying a top-dollar piece that we don’t really need, but really adore the look of. And you know what? Adoring the look of something is a co...

12 Style Rules Worth Breaking

When it comes to fashion, there are style rules that have been around for far too long. Sure, they might’ve made sense when they were created, but why are we still insisting on sticking to them? The only “rule” that matters is that you feel good. That’s first and foremost. End of story, period.
Our shopping editor and former stylist put together a list of her 12 least favorite “style rules” that just…need to be broken. Of course, if you love them, then wear them. That’s the whole idea; that you...

12 Holy Grail Drugstore Mascaras (According to Real Customers)

Makeup is expensive. It just is. It’s easy to drop hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on cosmetics every year, so when the opportunity arises to save a little money, we consider that a major win. Whether you wear a full face or just like a little light enhancement, the rule is: brows, lashes, lips. If you only have a few minutes, or prefer knocking out your look fast, hitting those three products will frame your face and bring out your natural beauty even more. When mascara is that important,...

Spring Refresh: Here's Our Guide to Mom Self Care

As moms ourselves, we know how easy it is to forget ourselves. We adore our kiddos and love being parents, but it can be easy to let self care fall through the cracks. Moms spend their days focused on family, whether directly or indirectly. If we stay home with our kiddos during the day, we’re focused full-time on taking care of them and our homes and everything that gets thrown at us throughout. Or, if we work outside the home, we’re trying to simultaneously do the jobs we’re paid for while rem...

Our Shopping Editors Think the Tovala Smart Oven Will Go Viral in 2023. Here's Why.

Look, if something is going to dominate this kind of kitchen counter real estate, it better be well worth it. Sure, our old toaster ovens do their jobs. They, you know, toast things. They can reheat pizza and maybe bake a half-dozen cookies. But it pretty much ends there as far as their talents go, so why are we letting them occupy precious counter space if they aren’t going to razzle and dazzle? That space should be reserved for only the best of the best toaster oven. And it better do a lot mor...

Our Tip for Simplifying Your Wireless Service to Keep the Fam Connected

As parents, we don’t like complicated. We have enough to juggle, and since our kiddos com first, adding anything ultra-elaborate to our everyday lives is a definite no go for us. There’s already a lot of “complicated” in our routines: nap schedules, feeding schedules, playdates, work meetings, tutoring, gymnastics, soccer practice, vet appointments, project deadlines, outgrown shoes, field trips, potty training, grocery shopping, and trying to get a shower. We adore our families, but there’s jus...

We're Taking Our Family Around the World this Holiday Season, Thanks to Little Passports

Most of us would agree that going on a world-class family vacation across the globe isn’t likely this holiday season. If your family actually is, please send pics. Just Wear the Thing

OR. ORRRRR. You can just wear the stupid swimsuit because literally, lah-hit-er-hall-lee, no one cares. No one.

Like if you can’t do the buzzy self-love, self-acceptance, body positivity thing, that’s really okay.

Sometimes that stuff is more pressure than your body-hating mind can wrap itself around. And it all sounds good. And it mostly all is good.

But if you’re not there? Totally cool.

Just wear the thing you spent your money on because the part of your brain that convinced you to is actually the one telling you the truth.

Negative thoughts speak first. And loudest.

When was the last time the loudest person in the room was 100% right? Exactly.

So if you’re not in a pink fluffy cloud of adoring every inch of your body yet, you don’t have to be.

Just wear the thing.

Why?

Because when you skip over all the self-esteem healing (which I’m not knocking), absolutely no one cares. No one.

And if no one cares, then it stands to reason that you’re the only one who does.

And if you’re the only one who cares, doesn’t that mean that yours is the only opinion that matters?

Right.

Do all the internal work, for sure.

But don’t wait until you’ve done it all to like, get in a pool? Play with your kids? Wear a dress you bought but don’t really know why (hint: because the truthful part of you said to)?

Just wear it. Because I’m so serious. No one cares.

I mean, you look amazing.

I know that to be true.

But even if you didn’t, no👏🏻one👏🏻cares👏🏻.

I love you.🩷
